Retrieving data from DAAP shares doesn't work

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Apple PowerBook G4 (5,4)
Ubuntu 7.04 (PPC) updated as of 06/02/07
Rhythmbox 0.9.7-2ubuntu1

With the DAAP plugin enabled, Rhythmbox will share the library with others on the network (iTunes clients) just fine, but will not read any iTunes DAAP shares.

It lists the available shares in the left hand pane, but either gives a "Service unavailable" error when they're clicked on, or just says "Retrieving songs from share" for a minute or so in the status bar before giving up.

I don't use, and never have used iTunes (it's a nasty piece of software). I suspect the iTunes users on my network are using the latest version, 7.0. I have just been reading up on Rhythmbox and have seen that it can't handle DAAP shares from iTunes 7.0, but Tangerine (http://www.snorp.net/log/tangerine) can.

Can we please ITP tangerine for the Ubuntu desktop, if it will allow us to connect Rhythmbox and Banshee to iTunes 7.0 DAAP shares?

That's a duplicate from bug #62842 then. You might want to contact the MOTU team about packaging tangerine
