Rhytmbox freezes randomly when playing mp3 files.

Rhytmbox freezes randomly when playing mp3 files. Printout from console:

Warning at startup:
(rhythmbox:11790): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unable to start mDNS browsing: MDNS service is not running

Warning that shows up after a while when Rythmbox freezes:
(rhythmbox:11790): Rhythmbox-WARNING **: Unhandled error: Unknown playback error

Sometimes it crashes too, but after a while it usually continues to play the next song, or maybe three songs forward. A forbidden sign is shown on the song that crashed + intermediate songs. If I later on tries to play these songs, they are 100% OK.

I am running Ubuntu Edgy (with all current updates), and the music (about 50GB) is located in a mounted smb catalog on my file server.

Thanks for your bug. Could you run rhythmbox -d and notice if there is any other error? Does it work on the same song with 'gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri="file:///path/to/my/musicfile.mp3"'?

I'll try this later on today as soon as I am home.. The bug is very
reproducable, but occurs pretty much randomly. I suspect it could be
about the underlaying mounted samba share, and not that much about
rhythmbox -- but it is of course bad if rhythmbox crashes even if it is
because of a mount problem.

If a song stops playing and rhythmbox hangs, the song is always marked
with a forbidden-sign, but it works as normal when I try to play it one
more time. Of course -- sometimes it hangs again, but it looks like it
has nothing to do with what song that is playing.

The problem disappeared when the router was replaced. So I guess some
underlaying network system doesn't handle exceptions like misrouted
packages very well... Of course it is impossible to fetch the music from
the server in these cases, but the program should probably give an error
message instead of freezing.

It does that from time to time. But I can't reproduce it, it's pretty random. At least, this time, I have the crash report.
