Only the most recent episode of each podcast gets downloaded automatically

What I expect to happen: All my podcasts to download automatically.

What actually happens: Only the most recent episode downloads automatically, so I have to manually initiate the download of any previous episodes that have not yet been downloaded.

in the upstream bug https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341462 they are talking about having a download manager for podcast that way you could download all the episodes from a particular podcast, resume the downloads, retry the failures, etc. could you have a look and see if that's what you're looking for ? thanks.

The upstream bug about the download manager seems mostly to be seeking to
change the way information about downloading episodes is displayed. This
bug is a separate issue, as the problem is entirely independent of how the
information is displayed. Instead, this bug is about the actual behaviour
of the program. I would simply like there to be an option (preferably the
default) to download all available podcasts, rather than only the most
recent episode of each feed.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Rhythmbox is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunately I am no longer able to test this as I do not have access to my
Ubuntu machine. Hopefully someone else may be able to update this bug
report, or else I will revisit it at some point in the future.

Following on from my previous comment, I can confirm that this bug is still present in Natty Beta 1.
