Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

I use media keys of my Dell XPS laptop to control rhythmbox. Imagine I have a play list with 10 Podcasts. While playing my first song, the phone rings. Now I press the "pause" multimedia key and rhythmbox correctly does not continue playing the song. After I finish my phone call I press the "play" multimedia key and, again correctly, my song continues playing at the correct position of the song.

Now the failure happens: after may be 10 seconds my song stops playing and rhythmbox continues with the next song! Interestingly, this does not happen if the pause is very short (just a few seconds).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of Rhythmbox is available on Maverick and we are wondering if this bug is still an issue for you with that version? Could you please test and comment back? Thanks in advance.

Hi Pedro,

I forgot about this bug. It is already fixed in lucid! One of the updates (I didn't test which one) solved the issue.

Thanks for asking.

Greetings, Tobias
