Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

Description: Ubuntu lucid (development branch)
Release: 10.04
Arch: amd64
Package: rhythmbox 0.12.6-1ubuntu3

Notifications via libnotify and tray icon seems to be broken. Re-enabling plug-in changes nothing.

Changed in rhythmbox (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Low

This has been broken on Lucid for a long time now. Trying to toggle the Status Icon plugin just causes rhythmbox to crash.

Changed in rhythmbox (Ubuntu):
importance: Low → Medium

I don't think the crasher in comment #1 is related the this bug. This bug is due to the patch in rhythmbox adding support for application-indicators. That patch actually bypasses notifications, which isn't really the goal. We need to fix that.

The crasher is a different bug, perhaps related to application-indicators as well. Can you please file a separate bug for that?
