Rhythmbox crashes after repositioning in a file

Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

While playing a file under Rhythmbox, I can't move the time slider to another position in the song without locking up and subsequently crashing Rhythmbox. This is new behavior for Intrepid, as previous versions seemed to be able to cope without too much difficulty.

do you use the crossfading option? does not using it workaround the issue?

Same here (problem not present in Hardy, but in Intrepid).

Disabling cross-fading is a workaround (restart of RB is required after disabling the cross-fading option).

The today's update of RB (0.11.6svn20081008-0ubuntu4.2) fixes this issue.
