tagging doesn't seem to work

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

this bug appears while trying to retag some mp3s.
if i try to retag a few songs at once to sort out capitals or something, i highlight them then right click>properties, then do my stuff and click close as there's no save or apply button. immidiately then, the tagging seems to have worked and the changes come up in the library, but after rhythmbox has a little think about it, the tags are reverted to what they were originally. I've tried this a few times, but the same happens every time.

I'm using Rhythmbox 0.11.5 in Ubuntu 8.04

I have had this behavior as well, but with specific mp3s, not all of them. No matter how many times I would retag a certain one, it would always revert after a second or two. I restarted rhythmbox, and the computer itself, but nothing worked.

James, would you mind clarifying if this happens with ALL tagging, just specific formats, or just certain ones? If it isn't all of them, then I think the title is deceptive. Thanks!

I can confirm this happens with mp3 in hardy with all the updates.

can you get a rhythmbox debug log after doing the operation on one of those files? Tagging works fine for me.
