Bug Description

Mozilla Firefox (3.0 beta 5) comes with "iTunes Application Detector" plugin.

iTunes does not even exist for Linux. This plugin has no purpose.

isnt that provided by rhythmbox? reassigning thre (even though not sure if thats the right package).

that's not a bug but a question about what the plugin is doing so changing to an user question rather

This plugin has a purpose, if it were removed programs like Rhythmbox, Tunesviewer, etc. would not be able to open iTunes podcasts.
