Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox

In gutsy.

When I selecte "Move to Trash" in rhythmbox, it does indeed remove the files.

However, they remain in the library and are thus considered "Missing files".

Instead they should be removed from the library when they are moved to trash -- or at least set as hidden (as they would be if they were "removed" but not deleted).

That bug is not the same.

That bug is about a file on the "import-errors" list, and when "moved to trash" from there, it is copied instead of moved.

This bug is about files being correctly moved to trash from the library, but not being removed from the library (instead showing up on a "missing files" list.)

I can confirm the behaviour, and found a related bug which seems to be the same, at least to me, in the gnome bugzilla:

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=404180

I'm using gutsy with all packages up to date

rhythmbox 0.11.2-0ubuntu2

Yes, that bug looks like it's the same. Thanks. (It's subtly different in that the proposed solution is to remove it from the library entirely rather than simply hiding it from missing files, but the essence is the same.)
