hangs on startup

Rhthmbox Hangs on every first time startup.

Mostly happens when I clicks on Play button directly placed on dropdown on system indicator area on right top.

i have exactly the same problem with ubuntu 13.10.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Same here, but it also happen on the play button in Rhythmbox itself. It is an almost-certainty after the first login or boot (for me this is virtually the same thing). Time counter and slider stay on 0:00, one core goes to 100%, UI freezes. Closing brings up the dialog if I want to kill it. Doing so and restarting Rhythmbox most of the times fixes the problem, but not always.

Most definately started after moving from 13:04 to 13:10.

Same problem here...after killing Rhythmbox on the first startup it works fine until I restart my computer. Very, very annoying bug to have. Definitely started with 13.10, it was not there on 13.04 for me. Also, I did a clean instead, so it is not a leftover file or upgrade issue.
