cover art: it should be saved not only in the rhythmdb

It would be great if, when the album art is downloaded, it is saved as cover.jpg or folder.jpg (if the library folder structure is by album), or even better in the music tags.

Thank you for your bug report. They are saved in ~/.gnome2/rhythmbox/covers normally and not in the rhythmbox db, after that you are free to put them where you want. Is that enough ?

I don't think it is enough, it should be an option to put them in the
id3v2 tag OR in the mp3 directory.
I'm requesting this since music is shared between multiple OS, and it
is a spare of time+space to store covers in multiple places.
If this is done, it is possible to navigate in windows(microsoft)
through the music folders, viewing the album covers. (and this could
be also implemented by nautilus in the future)

Ok, I had a look at this. The request to write the image in tags has already been made : http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345975 .(see also comments where they speak about it).
For your other request, a cover manager is being developed here : http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=363694 you could suggest your idea there, it would get more chances to be implemented.
