Distorted sound with wav files in Rhythmbox

I just installed Ubuntu 13.4 and updated it. When I tried with Rhythmbox to play audio-files with extention .wav they sound distorted. With VLC it sounds good.

Hi,
audacious player works OK. I did check other files with Ubuntu 13.4, Rhythmbox, same bug.

By the way, this audio files were delivered by e-mail YAHOO, which also has  a bug with Ubuntu 13.4:
each message from INBOX appears on the screen only for a second, after it yahoo mail switches to INBOX by its own accord.

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 1169664 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
