after upgrading to 12.04 no longer have sound in speakers

after Upgrading from 10.04 to Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS
I no longer have Sound in Speakers,
but I still have Sound in Headphones !?

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We appreciate the difficulties you are facing, but this appears to be a "regular" (non-security) bug. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. I solved my problems
both with the sound in speakers
and that the login periodic didn't work

I changed from the upgraded version of 12.04
to an edition on disk - bought from Linuxpusher.dk

so everything is fine
