Bug Description

Binary package hint: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store

How I came to this:
(see attached screen-shots)

- Home page of the French (but still in English) music-store
- Click on the "Daft Punk Musique Vol 1" recommendation
- Click on "More Daft Punk" (at the bottom of the page)
- Scroll a bit and find the "Videos" section
- Click on a video
- Try to preview it

I get "Could not load Music Store" and I need to restart Rhythmbox.

I'll check into this. The Ubuntu One Music Store does not sell videos so this content should be removed.

This bug is still alive...

AFAIK it doesn't require a very difficult/unusual path to be reproduced so many users will be affected when they will try the music-store I think.

Hi Nicolas: I've chatted with 7digital about video content in general. Unfortunately, they cannot remove that from our store. And the previews bug is something we can't do anything about at the moment because Rhythmbox doesn't support video playback. I'm going to mark this as a wishlist because we do need to figure out a better way to handle this scenario and we'll fix it for 10.10 or see if we can figure out a way to address it earlier in the Maverick cycle.

That's a shame :-(

Is there no way to display at least an error message when rhythmbox try to preview a video ?
This should workaround the crash/need to restart side of this bug (which is currently the most annoying).

Nicolas - 7digital is working on this. Thanks for bring it up. I'll continue to look into it. It's not release-dependent.
