Store doesn't help me to discover music

Binary package hint: rhythmbox-ubuntuone-music-store

The store currently has more of a "You should already know what titles you want to buy" feeling to it. Instead, it should help me to discover new music by recommending similar tracks (not necessarily from the same artist).

A great example for that is Youtube. I usually start with some track and click through the related videos, discovering music I didn't know before. This is something the U1MS should also provide.

Thanks for pointing this out. You are completely correct. We will get better at helping people discover music - music they already know about or new music. I'm going to mark this as a wishlist item so it stays on our radar. It will probably get implemented with a series of improvements to the store. Thanks again!

An idea would be integration with Last.fm. I have logged 30k songs to their servers, so it's safe to say they know exactly what music I have, and what music I lack. Merging this with the u1 store would be incredible.

as i pointed out in http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/idea/26419/ 7digital seems to make much more use of tags than real categories, so this might be a first step in making the store more accessible.
