Bug Description

reniced 1.21 expects processes list received from 'ps' command to have PID of certain length.
With longer PIDs in the operating system, reniced crashes when processing the list:

Argument " " isn't numeric in addition (+) at /usr/bin/reniced line 435, <PS> line 12.

This issue is FIXED UPSTREAM in reniced 1.22 (released 17 Jun 2020):
https://github.com/mmitch/reniced/releases/tag/v1.22
Please upgrade the package to the latest version.

This issue is still not fixed in neither version of Ubuntu:

Without this upstream fix reniced is literally useless, as it will always fail to run.

Changed in reniced (Ubuntu):

Will the fix from Debian Sid (1.21-1.2) [1] be available in Ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic?

What are the chances of this being backported to Ubuntu LTS (22.04, 20.04)?
Especially that all Ubuntu releases use the same version of this package (1.21-1) [2]
