Thank you for your report!

However, processing it in order to get sufficient information for the
developers failed (it does not generate a useful symbolic stack trace). This
might be caused by some outdated packages which were installed on your system
at the time of the report:

outdated debug symbol package for remmina: package version 1.0.0-1 dbgsym version 0.9.3-2
outdated debug symbol package for remmina-plugin-rdp: package version 1.0.0-1 dbgsym version 0.9.2-2
outdated debug symbol package for remmina-plugin-vnc: package version 1.0.0-1 dbgsym version 0.9.2-2

Please upgrade your system to the latest package versions. If you still
encounter the crash, please file a new report.

Thank you for your understanding, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Thanks for reply.
I had already updated all packages (aptitude full-upgrade) before using remmina and reporting this bug.

Fantu, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue with the latest version of remmina in Precise, or a later version of Ubuntu?

If so, please execute the following via a terminal as it will gather necessary debugging information:
apport-collect 932844

As well, please provide a click-for-click steps to reproduce this problem, as well as the OS you were trying to remote into.

Thank you for your understanding.

I did a fast test in ubuntu 14.04 and I was unable to reproduce it, probably new remmina and/or freerdp versions of trusty have fixed this bug.

I take a fast look to packages difference between precise and trusty and I think most likely the fix is included in freerdp 1.0.1-1ubuntu2.2<->1.0.2-2ubuntu1, it is a bugfix release and precise is a LTS still supported, then a precise-backports of trusty's freerdp and remmina probably can be good.

Thanks for any reply and sorry for my bad english.

Fantu, thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because as per your comment https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/remmina/+bug/932844/comments/8 the bug has been fixed in Trusty.

This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in previous versions of Ubuntu, please perform as much as possible of the SRU Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention.
