telepathy plugin is not functional

in Ubuntu 12.04.1 (with all current updates applied), it is impossible to run:

 remmina -x telepathy (or remmina --plugin telepathy)

…because there is some problem with "undefined symbol" (error output):

 /usr/bin/remmina: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/remmina/plugins/remmina-plugin-telepathy.so: undefined symbol: remmina_tp_handler_new

This bug prevents using remmina vnc client instead of vinagre one when someone wants to share her/his desktop with you through "share my desktop" functionality in Empathy.

It is quite unfortunate, because remmina is generally better (not only) vnc client (thus the default remote desktop access client in Ubuntu), but this bug prevents it to be drop-in replacement for vinagre.

As not a programmer, I'm not able to describe more internals of this problem. It seems, that this error may have various roots (according probably good written introduction https://blog.flameeyes.eu/2010/09/your-worst-enemy-undefined-symbol which I unfortunatelly don't understand at all)

Did it ever work in the past?

From what I can see no... This plugin has been written using an old, deprecated version of dbus, so anyway I have to rewrite it from scratch.

Don't know, in Ubuntu 12.04 I had some strange issues with vinagre vnc client in this scenario, so decided to try go with that time default vnc client in Ubuntu - Remmina. Unfortunately, this doesn't worked at all, as stated in bug report. Nowadays I use Teamviewer instead, because I need(ed) this functionality to provide remote user support. But I can tray use it again, if you fix it. Thanks for you attention to this bug :-)
