Bug Description

error message, redshift refuses to start:
seems to be a regression from https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/redshift/+bug/1485153 which looking at the last few comments dates at least to 15.10

redshift: 1.11-1ubuntu1
ubuntu: 16.10

This seems to be a regression

Unable to start GeoClue client: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.AccessDenied: Geolocation disabled for UID 1000.

at least in 17.10, this error consistently results from not having location services enabled. This was likely true for 17.04/16.10.

Perhaps an update to the error message suggesting as much might be warranted?

As of bionic, there's no error message at least first run & redshift Just Works[tm]. Location services must be working?

Disabling location settings in the location menu recreates this : once you disable it, redshift errors out like this and refuses to run.
