Bug Description

Binary package hint: recordmydesktop

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 beta 1 with the latest updates (dated 2010-MAR-23 GMT +8).

I can record the desktop and produced ogv video. It can be watched in the original format. However, when the ogv is uploaded to YouTube or converted to other formats by WinFF, the video cannot be watched.

The video will be looked like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eE5MJPTdBs

Any idea?

It doesn't happen if you upload the video on another provider (e.g blip.tv)

I can confirm this bug. The only difference is that I can't even watch the video with Gnome-Mplayer. It renders the same way as the YouTube example posted above. Additionally, recordmydesktop takes ages to encode the video.

I'm using KDE over a command-line only installation of Ubuntu 10.04 Beta 2.
