useful dependencies missing in recoll package

After installing recoll on Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS, some external applications/commands are reported to be needed and not found for indexing some file types. The list can be seen by launching

Recoll > File > Show Missing Helpers

It is not always trivial to find the correct packages to install.

I suggest to add at least next dependencies to make recoll work right out of the box:

antiword
unrtf
libwpd-tools (for wpd2html, an application related to WordPerfect files)
catdoc (for xls2csv, an application related to MSWord files)
lyx
libimage-exiftool-perl (for Perl::Image::ExifTool)
python-mutagen (for python:mutagen)

For python:midi, I didn't find the package to install.

Other dependencies could be needed, but perhaps these were already present on my system. So some checks should be performed on a fresh installed system.

After installing a missing application, it is necessary to update (not rebuild) the index of Recoll (which goes amazing fast) by issuing:

Recoll > File > Update index

After this index update, the list of missing helpers will also be updated.

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Also, I find that after installing a number of missing helpers (like unrtf), recoll
keeps listing them among those missing (Recoll > File > Show Missing Helpers).

You should to rebuild index after install tools.

A pity this is not yet solved. Other packages dependencies that could be added are:

python-rarfile
pstotext
python-libxml2
python-libxslt1

This bug in the packaging of recoll is still present after 6 years.

I wonder who is the packager of recoll.

If he is not informed, this bug will never be fixed, I fear.
