Bug Description
Binary package hint: rdesktop
Description: Ubuntu 9.04
Release: 9.04
compiz:
Installed: 1:0.8.2-0ubuntu8.1
rdesktop:
Installed: 1.6.0-2ubuntu1
On two separate x86_64 Ubuntu 9.04 workstations w/ Compiz (one at home, one at work), I'm repeatedly noticing screen update problems with a combination of Compiz, rdesktop, and Windows' console on the remote end.
What happens is this:
1. Interact with console such that output is long enough to require scrolling.
2. Areas toward the bottom of the Windows console, which should have text (like a shell prompt), are completely black.
To workaround this, I can cause the window to be redrawn correctly by either (a) moving/resizing the Windows console window inside the rdesktop session, or (b) moving the rdesktop window itself.
Things I /haven't/ yet tried to see if they're related, but could if those triaging bugs would want me to:
1. Reproducing in another desktop environment, window manager (ex: KDE 4, Metacity).
Please let me know if any additional data are required.
