Quod Libet needs alsasink to output sound

Bug Description

Quod Libet does not play any sound "out of the box". I needed to edit my ~/.quodlibet/config file to select the alsasink pipeline. By default no pipeline is selected. Quod Libet says it uses gstreamer.

Esdsink doesn't work either.

do you still have this problem with the lastest version in dapper (0.18-3ubuntu1)?

For me, quod libet only plays (along with other gstreamer10 apps like rhythmbox and sound juicer) if this conf change is made (default is also blank) or if playback is set to OSS in multimedia-systems-selector.

QL uses gconfaudiosink. All you need to do is select the appropriate audiosink using gstreamer-properties.
