Quicksynergy accepted a patch for transparent SSH tunnel activated by a checkbox on the client page: https:/
The patch has also been written for the version of quicksynergy used in Ubuntu (attached). I have applied this patch between 100_oldconfig_
This may not be high priority, since synergy itself now offers some level of encryption, but quicksynergy does not use these features. If its interface is simple enough to be of value, then we should offer users some security.
