Binary package hint: qtoctave
In the KDE menu, the QtOctave application appears in two different submenus of the Edutainment section: both Mathematics and Science. This occurs even if there are no other members of the Edutainment menu present, i.e. the menu takes the form
Edutainment > Mathematics > QtOctave
> Science > QtOctave
regardless of the fact that QtOctave is the _only_ application to appear in the Edutainment section.
Further, GNU Octave itself does not appear in Edutainment at all, instead occupying a place in the "Science & Maths" main menu section.
I suggest that the menu placement of QtOctave be altered to follow that of GNU Octave. |

[N.B. I have observed this with qtoctave 0.5.1+dfsg-1ubuntu2 on the Hardy beta: I do not know (yet) whether it also affects GNOME and whether or not it occurs in earlier Ubuntu releases.] |
