Audio playback is interrupted/stutters when screen brightness changes.

I noticed on my MX4 that when reading a long document often the screen brightness will drop prior to the screen locking... when listening to a podcast/music, this drop in screen brightness is associated with a stutter in the audio playback, often this also happens when the screen brightness is restored by touching the screen.
