2014-04-25 13:50:24 Scott Howard qtiplot (Ubuntu): milestone trusty-updates
2014-04-25 13:51:12 Scott Howard summary qtiplot package needs to be rebuilt against new SIP libraries [SRU] qtiplot package needs to be rebuilt against new SIP libraries
2014-04-25 13:55:14 Scott Howard description Python scriting isn't working in Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04). Indeed, when trying to initialize the scripting it results in "Failed to export QtiPlot API: Accessing QtiPlot functions or objects from Python code won't work. Probably your version of Qt/SIP/PyQt differs from the one QtiPlot was compiled against." Qtiplot installed version : 0.9.8.9-8. This bug has been previously reported and fixed for Saucy (Ubuntu 13.10), see bug #1243269 (as well as in Raring, see bug #1129237). But it appears again in Trusty... It seems to be a compatibility problem. It looks quite strange that this bug happens every release... I hope you could fix this easily. [Impact] Python scripting isn't working in Trusty (Ubuntu 14.04). [Test case] Qtiplot installed version : 0.9.8.9-8. 1) From the menus, choose "Scripting"->"Scripting Language..." 2) Select Python 3) Error: "Failed to export QtiPlot API: Accessing QtiPlot functions or objects from Python code won't work. Probably your version of Qt/SIP/PyQt differs from the one QtiPlot was compiled against." [Regression Potential] None, this is a no code change rebuild. [Other info] This bug has been previously reported and fixed for Saucy (Ubuntu 13.10), see bug #1243269 (as well as in Raring, see bug #1129237). But it appears again in Trusty... It seems to be a compatibility problem. It looks quite strange that this bug happens every release... I hope you could fix this easily.
