Bug Description
After installing kubuntu-desktop metapackage I can't type accents in qt/kde based applications: qtcreator, kate, konsole ...
Here is what I did to solve this bug:
I installed qt4-qtconfig. I checked that ibus-qt4 was already installed on the system as part of the kubuntu-desktop "recommends".
I needed to launch qtconfig and select manually "Default Input Method: ibus". The default entry value is "xim" and does not work with accents áàóò...
This should be a default in ubuntu 12.04 to allow qt/kde apps to work well with international keyboards that uses accents. I don't know where qtconfig stores the information, though.
