I concur with what Ming Hua wrote in above, because ~/.xinput.d/en_US has following lines.

XIM=nabi
XIM_PROGRAM=/usr/bin/nabi
XIM_ARGS=
GTK_IM_MODULE=xim

So nabi should work as XIM for KDE applications in this case.
