Bug Description

Binary package hint: qpopper

in Ubuntu 10.4 and 10.10 this package is affected by an authentification bug which has been reported for debian as well:

http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=548383

As a result this package is not usable at all dispite you change the contents of "/etc/pam.d/qpopper":

  #%PAM-1.0
  auth required pam_unix_auth.so shadow
  account required pam_unix_acct.so

to

  #%PAM-1.0
  auth required pam_unix.so shadow
  account required pam_unix.so

to be compliant to changes in "libpam-modules" (or apply some other fix).
