Print range pages selection is ignored, prints always all pages

Trying to print a range of pages of a PDF using qpdfview 0.4.17.99 on a freshly installed Lubuntu 18.10 does not work. qpdfview always sends the full file, i.g. all pages, to the printer.

I found only 1 program, the FeatherPad editor, that uses the same print dialog. Printing page ranges from FeatherPad works as expected.
