Bug Description
I'm using ubuntu-gis ppa as you do recommend.
I have both qgis-plugin-grass and qgis-plugin-
Obs.: tried to unistall qgis then remove ~/.qgis2/
Obs2.: tried qgis-2.9 from nightly build too with no success

Grass 7 is not (yet) compatible with the qgis grass plugin.
Note that there is a crowdfunding initiative to develop it: www.gissula. eu/qgis- grass-plugin- crowdfunding/
http://
The plugin will become available if you downgrade to grass 6.4. This
can be done using:
sudo apt-get install grass-core=6.4.3-3 grass-gui=6.4.3-3 grass=6.4.3-3
