Thanks for your work, but as we're currently in sync with Debian I'd like to hear from Cristian (the Debian maintainer who is also subscribed to the Ubuntu bugs) before sponsoring this.
Also it seems as if 1.4.0 will be released soon. It might be better to get the release candidate in now before Feature Freeze so that we can release with 1.4.0 when it is finalized.

Do you have an opinion on this? I notice that you've got 1.4.0~rc1-1 on debian.mentors, and that upstream has released 1.4.0rc2. Do you plan on uploading this soon?
