This looks like a duplicate of bug 1024204, which has been fixed in a newer version of the package. Hopefully the upgrade will work for you, when version 3.2.3-4 or newer reaches your mirror (I guess; I think most have it by now). At worst, you may have to download and install those packages manually, like this, say:

  cd /tmp
  sudo apt-get download python3
  sudo dpkg -i python3*.deb

Some people reported they had to do such a workaround. Thanks.

I might as well note: I marked it a duplicate of bug 1024204, since the errors in the log were the same as that. There were some problems in python3-defaults that recently that showed a couple of different symptoms. Most of them are at bug 1024016. I haven't marked the reports with different error messages as duplicates of that one, but I think they're all connected to the same problems and fixes. Thanks.
