Thanks for the great work. If you think the fix is ready for release, it might be worth considering it for a stable release update (SRU).

Do you (or anyone else) think you could follow the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates procedure so that this fix can be considered for Karmic?
