Bug Description
Binary package hint: python-imaging
No reference to the short form PIL is made in the package name or short description and so aptitude won't find any package by this name:
$ aptitude search pil | grep python | wc -l
0
While
$ LC_ALL=de_DE.UTF-8 aptitude search python | grep "Imaging Library"
will find at least debug and other adjacent packages it is only a matter of time until translations will also remove the other part of the name.
Solution:
Please reference "PIL" in the short description.
