Seems to work on pbuilder/sbuild env, but fails on the buildd's:

3rd giveback succeeded, made upstream aware.
WIll followup discussion or raise a bug.
Proposed solution to mock.
Seems to be slow hardware issue.

The real pain is that I haven't been able to reproduce locally.

Closing as obsolete. Whatever the failure was in 2012, the package has successfully built in subsequent years.
