Thanks for reporting this. Did you upgrade from a prior version of python-cryptography by any chance? It looks like a prerm script is failing on a getrandom() call, however I don't see a prerm script in the xenial package or any other prior releases that I could find. From the attached DpkgTerminalLog .txt:
