Pysolfc takes progressively longer to launch

Bug Description
Upon the first launching of pysolfc, it takes about 4 seconds to open, which is about the same as when run from 12.04. With each closing and re-launching of the app it takes progressively longer to open until finally after 15 or so launches it takes about 10 seconds to open. The only cure I've discovered so far is to either log out and back in or to reboot.
