Utopic crash on launch; "Attempt to unlock mutex that was not locked"

Recently updated to Ubuntu Utopic, and when I try to launch pyrenamer it displays an empty window for a fraction of a second, and crashes with the following:

It launched and worked okay on Trusty. I created an Utopic debootstrap and it fails to launch in there also.
