Bug Description

On ubuntu 11.04, pymol can't open a pdb file with File>Open.
See the pymol console error

This error looks like a non-ASCII character was encountered.

I thought all PDB files were ASCII? http://www.wwpdb.org/documentation/format33/sect1.html#Basic

Any pdb file can do the same. See the one attached.
