Bug Description

Binary package hint: pwauth

In Lucid, pwauth doesn't have the setuid permission when it is installed. This means that it cannot access PAM to authenticate users.

From /var/log/apache2/error.log:
[...] AuthExtern pwauth [/usr/local/bin/pwauth]: Failed (1) for user james

When setuid is activated (chmod u+s /usr/local/bin/pwauth), then pwauth works as it should do.
