Bug Description

I am using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, x64 server. With that I have installed pure-ftpd, 1.0.24. But I have problem that some ftp-clients that splits files when downloading get corrupt files. Like BitKinex does it for improving download speed. But after downloading the file is corrupt. If one download the file with the setting "Allow multi-part download" off the file is correct. One can compare the files on binary and find the files downloaded different.

This has possible been fixed in 1.0.25 according to http://www.pureftpd.org/project/pure-ftpd/news with:
"Handle fake download resumes the traditional way for the sake of being compatible with weird clients that insist on doing that."

I have now installed 1.0.32 with use of https://launchpad.net/~rhardy/+archive/webconsrp
The behavior has been fixed and the server with BitKinex client is receiving correct files.

Similar issue here with FileZilla clients getting corrupted zip files.

PureFTPd 1.0.32 from rhardy's PPA fixes the problem. Thanks Kristoffer for the tip.
