Bug Description

The syntax for puppetmaster-passenger needs to be updated for Apache v2.4. The option "SSLCertificateChainFile" is deprecated and so is the access control.

Order allow,deny
allow from all

needs to be replaced with "Require all granted".

The option "SSLCARevocationCheck" is also missing in puppetmaster.conf.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Looks like this is coming from the source tree in ext/rack/example-passenger-vhost.conf which is from upstream, so this bug should be reported upstream. Based on a look at the source it looks like this bug also exists in Debian (git master). It may make sense to report the bug in Debian also, since it's reasonable to expect this to be corrected in the packaging since it integrates with Apache.

Importance: Medium since puppetmaster-passenger is in universe and it is possible to work around the issue by fixing the conffile manually.

Changed in puppet (Ubuntu):
importance: Undecided → Medium
status: New → Triaged
