PulseAudio bug with HTML5 videos on YouTube

Bug Description

When playing videos on YouTube in HTML5 instead of Flash Player, at times during playback, the sound skips in places. If you go into the "System Monitor", select "PulseAudio", right-click and select "Stop Process" and then click "Continue Process", the problem goes away until next time.

It happens at random. I find this problem is most likely to happen when clicking the time bar to watch the video at a specific time or replaying the video.

It only happens on HTML5 videos.

By chance I found that stopping and starting PulseAudio is a temporary "fix" each time this sound skipping occurs.

Since I prefer HTML5 to Flash, for obvious reasons ;) I now watch more HTML5 videos. I have joined the HTML5 trial on YouTube, which means most videos are in HTML5 instead of Flash:

this bug is 100% confirmed bug only in chromium! html5 video works perfect in firefox and opera. I've redirected your issue to cromium project. see http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=125448

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu.
Ubuntu 11.04 (natty) reached end-of-life on October 28, 2012.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test.
