No sound in pulseaudio

Bug Description

With a fresh install from the oversize Daily Build of Ubuntu, there is no sound.
Applications that should play sound are silent.

thats not Unity's fault I would say

I'm not familiar with PowerPC, but based on the verbose log, I would try the tsched=0 workaround described here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/PositionReporting

Ubuntu 12.04 (precise) reached end-of-life on April 28, 2017.

We appreciate that this bug may be old and you might not be interested in discussing it any more. But if you are then please upgrade to the latest Ubuntu version and re-test.
