sound input volume sets to 100%

Bug Description

Input volume automatically sets to 100% after every reboot. It has to be set to unamplified manually to be able to record decently. I don't recall this issue in 11.04.

Ubuntu 11.10 (oneiric) reached end-of-life on May 9, 2013.
