Bug Description

Hi All,

I have had this problem for a long time and wasn't sure how to go about posting about it. When I run HDMI to my tv to watch shows and what not I get a random popping sound relatively frequently (I'd say at least once every 2-3 minutes), the sound is really annoying but it's short (probably lasts less than a second). If someone can tell me how to do a log for pulse I'll do one as soon as possible (although every time I've tried in the past I can never figure out how to get the log to work correctly). Thanks in advance

I found instructions on how to create a log, I'll do that and get an audio ogg file up that the popping can be heard.

here is my verbose log, I was watching a tv show in xbmc, problem happens using flash and vlc as well though. Will try to trim the audio down and find the noise in it.

I have the same problem, a loud sound on a regular interval, though I'd call it more like a whistling sound. The only workaround for me is to use mplayer or VLC and set their output directly to ALSA HDMI, instead of pulse. Bypassing pulse seems to fix the problem, but I can't do it for Chrome so I have no way to watch Youtube videos without that sound.
