Bug Description

Binary package hint: pulseaudio

Description: Ubuntu 10.10
Release: 10.10 amd64
ii pulseaudio 1:0.9.22~0.9.2

This system was set up from scratch and tested with new created user. In situations with heavier load, pulse keep a sample re-loop it few times. This sound like dj scratching and is not funny at all, pulse should get higher priority to run cleanly in such situations. Exactly these existing options are disabled by ubuntu, so this is a bug now.

I am seeing exactly the same symptoms but on Precise, which I think may be similar to bug #1045771

I don't know if it's a priority problem or not (I have tried renicing pulseaudio to -20 and it doesn't help).

This is one of a very short list of problems I have with Ubuntu so I am on a crusade to try and get it noticed by some developers. I may even put a bounty on it if there are any takers.
