I also have no sound on a laptop with an 82801G (ICH7) chipset using the following codecs:

/proc/asound/card0/codec#0:Codec: Realtek ALC262
/proc/asound/card0/codec#1:Codec: Motorola Si3054

The recent update to PulseAudio 0.9.17 didn't help. Interestingly, I do get sound in youtube videos (and possibly other flash videos, I haven't checked), but neither Totem, Rythmbox, VLC or sox's "play" can play back an ogg file, and both Totem and "play" hang. Does anyone else see this?
